Community update — we’re now 23 days out from Samm’s start line. May 11, 2026, Stratford to Tobermory pier, 251 km on foot for local cancer care.
A few ways folks on the forum have been helping that don’t cost a dollar and still move the needle:
- Share the run page. The GoFundMe (gofundme.com/f/2mspu-charity-run) lives or dies on forwards. A single share to a neighbourhood group or family chat moves the reach further than any paid ad I’ve tried to buy.
- If you’re on Samm’s route (Stratford → St. Marys → Goderich → Kincardine → Port Elgin → Wiarton → Tobermory), post a sighting or a cheer when he comes through. The route cheers are the part he’s been talking about most.
- Adjacent trades on here — if your shop or crew wants to sponsor a day, we’re still matching company pledges against a KM count. Reply or DM me and I’ll get you on the backer wall before start day.
Every dollar lands in one of three places: London Health Sciences Centre Cancer Program, Stratford General’s ER, and Wellspring Stratford. Nothing to a broker, nothing to admin. Direct.
