We’re proud to support Stratford runner Samm Simon as he prepares for an extraordinary 251 km charity run from Stratford to Tobermory on May 11, 2026.
Samm is running in support of his wife, who is bravely battling cancer for the third time. His goal is simple and powerful: raise funds for local cancer care with dignity, privacy, and respect.
100% of funds raised go directly to:
- London Health Sciences Centre – Cancer Program
- Stratford General Hospital
- Wellspring Stratford Cancer Centre
This run is about community, compassion, and showing up for people who never chose a cancer diagnosis.

LF Builders Stands Behind Samm Simon’s Run
At LF Builders, we have been part of the Greater Toronto Area community for over 50 years. We know what it means to show up — for homeowners, for trades, and for neighbours. What Samm Simon is doing is exactly that: showing up in the most demanding way possible, for people who need it most.
Samm is not a professional athlete. He is a community member running 251 kilometres because someone he loves has been through this three times, and because he believes that individual effort can move something bigger. The route from Stratford to Tobermory is not a short training run. It is a commitment — one that mirrors what it takes to get through a serious illness: patience, perseverance, and knowing you are not alone.
The Cause
All funds raised go directly to the three institutions that have supported Samm’s family:
- London Health Sciences Centre – Cancer Program — one of Canada’s largest and busiest cancer treatment centres, serving patients across southwestern Ontario.
- Stratford General Hospital — providing vital local cancer care close to home for Stratford-area residents who cannot always travel for treatment.
- Wellspring Stratford Cancer Centre — offering emotional support, programs, and connection for those living with and through cancer and their families.
How to Support
Every dollar donated goes to local cancer care. There are no administration overheads taken from direct donations to these three institutions through Samm’s campaign.
