Renson Camargue motorized louvered pergola. The louvers adjust from fully open to fully closed via a wall controller. Fully closed sheds rain (slight drainage gap between louvers). Integrated LED strip lighting in the beams. Two retractable side screens included.
Permit:
Mississauga building permit was required — our pergola is 280 sq ft (over the 10 sq m / 108 sq ft exempt threshold) and attached to the house.

One full year of use:
Used the pergola 8 months of the year. The motorized roof closed automatically during 3 rain events (rain sensor included). Side screens used mostly evenings for insect protection.
Was it worth $42,000?
Honestly, yes. Our backyard is now a functional outdoor room from April through October. The pergola has replaced our living room for evenings from May to September. We eat dinner outside 4 nights a week.
