Pre-Wire During Renovation (Non-Reversible Decisions)
Before closing walls, rough-in:

- In-wall speaker wire (14/2 or 16/2 rated): Ceiling and wall positions to AV rack location.
- Security camera conduit: From camera mounting points to NVR location.
- Doorbell conduit: 18/2 wire from doorbell to panel/transformer.
Smart Lighting Systems
Smart switches (Lutron Caseta, Leviton Decora Smart): Replace standard switches — all bulbs become smart. Most reliable in GTA installer experience.

Confirm neutral wire availability in switch boxes before purchasing (required by most smart switches).
