That Creepy Attic? Yeah, It’s Becoming My Favorite Room

I’ll admit that before last month, my attic served only as a place for Christmas decorations and spiders. However, when I finally got sick of typing on my laptop surrounded by crumbs in my kitchen nook, it was time for a change.

My husband tried to dissuade me, saying “It’s like a sauna there in summer.” Not long after, I put in some insulation and installed a small but efficient air conditioner, and surprise—guess who’s got the most comfortable office? It’s me.

We bought a couple of nice rugs for warmth, added a skylight where I can gaze at the clouds, and now the attic serves as my writing room and occasional guest bedroom when my mother visits. Sure, we’ve gotten a bump or two hitting our heads on the angled ceiling, but it’s totally worth it for watching the sunset.

Thanks for sharing this idea I really learned a lot from it

Converting an attic into a workspace is incredibly rewarding. Good insulation and dedicated cooling completely transform a sweltering storage room into a cozy, sunlit sanctuary perfect for getting things done.
