Recently, I saw two kitchens and that completely changed how I look at countertops.
One countertop was granite, and the first thing I noticed was how natural it was. The patterns were uneven but beautiful, and no two parts looked exactly the same out of both. The Small marks and texture changes actually made it look real instead of looking perfect.
The other kitchen used quartz, and it was cleaner than the one with granite. Everything looked smooth and more controlled. And that gave the kitchen a sharp and modern feeling immediately.
After asking around for some time, I noticed I wasn’t the only one talking about them.
The granite owners were talking about sealing and extra care, while the quartz owners mostly talked about convenience and easy cleaning.
Most surprising part is that, none of them looked better than the other, at least to me. They just created different moods inside the kitchen.
Granite made the kitchen look warm and natural, while Quartz felt cleaner and more polished.
My conclusion is that both kitchen owners definitely prioritised comfort before looks and each of them chose what they felt was best.
