Editorial note (out-of-scope-preserved): Manitoulin Transport is not a renovation contractor. It is one of North America’s largest less-than-truckload (LTL) freight carriers, founded in 1960 in Gore Bay by Doug Smith. The original directory entry mistakenly framed it as a renovation/moving company. The listing is preserved here as regional trade-support / freight infrastructure because so much of Northwestern and Northern Ontario’s construction-material supply chain — including Manitoulin Island, the North Shore, Sudbury, and points west — moves on Manitoulin Transport equipment.
