One thing I’ve learned from watching different home renovations is that lighting changes everything more than people expect.
You can spend a lot on furniture and decoration, but if the room lighting is too harsh or poorly positioned, the entire space can still feel uncomfortable. Warm lighting in living rooms creates a more relaxing atmosphere, while kitchens usually benefit from brighter layered lighting.
I also think natural light is underrated during renovation planning. Larger windows or even lighter wall colors can completely transform a small space without major structural changes.
A lot of people focus on expensive decor upgrades first, but sometimes improving the lighting setup gives the biggest visible difference for less money.
