How You Slowly Stop Noticing Changes in Your Own Space

One thing I’ve realized is that when you stay in a place long enough, you stop noticing small changes as they happen.

It’s not that nothing is changing, it’s just that everything happens gradually. A wall mark here, a slight shift there, maybe something not working as smoothly as before.

But because it’s not sudden, your mind just adjusts to it.

I noticed this when I visited a place after some time away. Things that the people living there didn’t even think about anymore were immediately obvious to me.

That’s when it clicked that being around something every day can make you overlook slow changes.

Now I try to step back sometimes and look at things like I’m seeing them for the first time. You’d be surprised what you pick up when you do that.

It’s interesting how people slowly stop noticing changes in their own space after living there for a while. Things that once felt new or exciting eventually just blend into the background of everyday life.

The changes in your space become normal after sometime, because the mind adjusted to it already
