Battery Backup Sump Systems Which Brand Is Actually Reliable?

I need to buy a battery backup for my basement sump pump before monsoon season starts. We lose power pretty frequently in our neighborhood whenever there’s a thunderstorm, and since my basement relies completely on the pump to stay dry, I can’t risk it sitting dead for hours.

I see a bunch of different options online ranging from $200 cheap ones to crazy $800 systems with Wi-Fi alerts.

I don’t need anything fancy with a phone app, I just want something that will reliably kick on and pump water for at least 12 hours if the main power goes down. Do you guys recommend a specific brand like Zoeller or Wayne, or are the generic store brands just as good? Let me know what you’re running down there.

I don’t use backup sump systems so I really can’t help with any information

I only use solar energy, but if the battery is gonna serve you, then you can get it

I’ve never used such an appliance before wow I’m going to get it and test it out

A solid choice Zoeller and Wayne are both very reliable for backup sump systems. Focus on battery capacity (deep cycle AGM) and pump output more than Wi-Fi extras. A good setup should comfortably handle short outages and buy you enough time during storms without failure.
