TimberHomes Vermont — Timber Frame Homes, Barns & Pavilions in Montpelier, VT (Est. 2005)
Josh Jackson and David Hooke founded TimberHomes Vermont in 2005 after teaching high school students to timber frame using only hand tools at the Mountain School in Vershire. That origin says something about how they approach the work: mortise-and-tenon joinery done the traditional way, not as decoration but because it produces structures that last. In 2016, TimberHomes converted from an LLC to a member-managed cooperative, so ownership stays aligned with the people doing the actual building.
They’re based at 21 Fork Rd in Montpelier and take on projects across New England.
