I used to think kitchen sinks were all the same until I actually started paying attention to how people use their kitchens every day.
A single sink is simple and takes less space. It works well in smaller kitchens where space is limited. Washing dishes, rinsing vegetables, and cleaning all happen in one place. It is also easier to install and usually costs less.
But the downside is that everything shares the same space. When the sink is full, it becomes hard to multitask.
A double sink gives more flexibility. You can wash dishes on one side and rinse or soak items on the other side. It makes kitchen work feel more organized, especially when there is a lot to clean.
The problem is that double sinks take more counter space. In smaller kitchens, they can feel a bit tight. And they also need more careful plumbing setup.
I think single sinks are better for small or simple kitchens, while double sinks work better for bigger kitchens with more daily cooking and cleaning.
Both options are good, but they change how easy or busy the kitchen feels during use.
