Scratch And Dent Appliance Outlets Are They Worth The Risk?

Has anyone here ever bought their kitchen appliances from a scratch and dent liquidator or an outlet center? We are trying to replace our range oven and microwave on a very tight budget, and a coworker told me about a local warehouse that sells brand new name-brand appliances for 40% to 50% off retail prices just because they got dinged during shipping.

In my mind, if a stainless steel oven has a small scratch on the side panel that is going to be hidden by the cabinets anyway, it seems like a no-brainer way to save hundreds of dollars.

But I’m worried about the warranty coverage. Do companies like LG, Whirlpool, or Samsung still honor the factory warranty on appliances sold through outlet stores, or are you completely on your own if the control board fries itself after two months? If you’ve bought scratch and dent before, let me know if it went well or if you got burned

I feel it’s better to buy new than buying scratch and dents

Scratch and dent is a goldmine. As long as you buy from an authorized outlet, manufacturers honor the full warranty. Just confirm it’s cosmetic damage, not structural go save that cash!
