I Tried Fixing It Myself and Almost Regretted It

There was this small issue with one of my doors it wasn’t closing properly. Nothing serious, just slightly misaligned.

At first, I ignored it like usual. But after a few days, it started getting annoying, so I decided to fix it myself.

I watched a quick guide, got my tools, and felt confident going in.

It started well until it didn’t. At some point, I adjusted something wrongly, and the door became even worse than before. That moment where you just stop and think, Why did I touch this thing?

I had to pause, step away, then come back later to figure it out properly.

Eventually, I fixed it, but the whole experience changed how I see DIY.

Now I don’t rush into things as much. I still try to fix stuff myself, but I’m more patient with it.

Sometimes I wonder where do people draw the line between I can handle this and let me just call someone?

Because that line is not always clear.

Tried fixing something myself once and it looked easy at first, but it quickly turned into one of those I should’ve just called someone situations.

This is very relatable because small home issues always seem simple until one adjustment creates three new problems. I think a lot of people have had that exact why did I touch this?moment during DIY projects.

If I see that it requires a professional, I’m calling the professional.

I normally called professional whenever I face issues like this
