I Thought More Storage Would Solve Everything, I Was Wrong

At some point, I felt like my main problem at home was lack of storage.

So my solution was simple add more storage.

Extra shelves, containers, small organizers, I kept adding things gradually.

And yes, it helped at first.

But after a while, I noticed something strange I was still running out of space.

That’s when it hit me.

The problem wasn’t just storage. It was also how much I was keeping.

More storage just made it easier to hold onto more things.

Now I’m trying a different approach instead of adding space, I’m reducing what I keep.

It’s not easy, but it feels more effective so far.

I’m curious though when things start feeling cluttered, do you usually add more storage or reduce what you have?

Because I feel like a lot of people automatically choose the first option.

When everything starts feeling cluttered, I reduce what I have and also try to increase the storage

This happens more than people expect, especially when the original quote wasn’t fully detailed. Once work starts and hidden issues or missing scope come up, the less price usually starts adjusting to the real situation.

Not everything is entirely about storage pal, it’s doesn’t solve everything I’ll tell you that and it’s true lot of people automatically choose the first option

Me to I I automatically choose the first option

You hit the nail on the head. Out of sight, out of mind until the closets burst. It’s a trap. I always advocate for purging first; storage just enables the hoarding.
