My wife picked a countertop so big it almost didn’t fit through the door. It all started with this 10’ slab of stone- this is quartzite. Quartzite is harder than granite and it’s denser and stronger than marble. It took the entire slab for our kitchen island, he said it was the second biggest piece they had installed. Once the slab was cut to size, he laid off and marked out the area that needed to be removed for the farmhouse sink.
