I have a video on the full process - called Budget Savy Feature Wall - that shows all the steps. This wall took three 4' x 8' sheets of underlayment plywood, all the wood to do this wall cost me under $50 to achieve this look, which is amazing since I priced it out to be over $400 to use traditional shiplap boards!!
