Continued-- Next, I center the hinge side of the jamb with the wall, and I nail it at the top shims. I use the level to make sure the jamb is plumb before I nail off the other two shim locations. If it’s leaning in or out it will cause the door to open or shut on its own. Now I turn to the latch side- I align the jamb with the wall and nail the top off. Then standing inside the room I open and shut the door to make sure it’s landing evenly on the door stop. As I work my way down, adding shims Swipe or use ↑ ↓ to keep watching.
