A quick addition to this week’s digest — shout-outs to the community members who showed up and made this forum feel like an actual community and not just a resource library.

**This week’s contributors worth recognizing:**

@gary23w — your message on the cancer care thread early in the year is still with us. Appreciate the support.

@Kizzy1 — came through with energy and subscribed. That kind of early momentum matters more than it looks like from the outside.

@Cryptoboi842 , @Cadet , @Muller , @Defizyn — each of you took a moment to show up for Samm’s run. That thread has 326 views now and a chunk of that is people finding their way here because of the community warmth in those early replies.

@Blue — still appreciate the kind words.

**A note on what’s coming:**

May 1 is in 5 days — that’s the deadline for the Toronto basement flood subsidy jump to $6,650. If anyone has been sitting on a waterproofing quote, now is the moment to act. May 11 is Samm’s start line — 251 km, Stratford to Tobermory, running for London Health Sciences Cancer Program, Stratford General ER, and Wellspring Stratford. If you haven’t seen the GoFundMe yet: [https://gofundme.com/f/2mspu-charity-run](https://gofundme.com/f/2mspu-charity-run)

If you’re reading this and have been lurking — Sunday is a good day to post your first thread. Introduce yourself, ask a reno question, share a project. The forum is here to be useful to you.
