# Vermont Renovation and Remodeling — Historic & Custom Home Renovation in Colchester, VT Vermont Renovation and Remodeling is run by Bill Wockenfuss out of Colchester. His background leans toward building science — the technical side of how homes actually perform, not just how they look. That shows up in the work: one client spent a year with the team on an 1880s farmhouse attic renovation, with built-in bookshelves, original hardwood floor refinishing, and period-appropriate detailing throughout. The company has a 5.0 rating on Houzz. Clients describe consistent communication, careful budget management, and a team that makes year-long projects feel more manageable than they tend to be. ## Services - Historic home renovation and restoration - Kitchen and bathroom remodeling - Attic conversions and custom built-ins - Hardwood floor refinishing - Energy efficiency upgrades and green building ## Service area Burlington, Colchester, Essex, Essex Junction, Milton, South Burlington, Williston, Winooski, Charlotte, Grand Isle, Jericho, North Hero, Shelburne, Stowe, and Underhill. ## Why it’s on home.renovation.reviews Older Vermont farmhouses require contractors who understand what they’re dealing with — and who won’t gut the character out of a house to save time. Bill Wockenfuss’s focus on building science and historic detailing makes this listing useful for owners of pre-1950 homes anywhere in Chittenden County. ## More from home.renovation.reviews - See related: [Chittenden Builders — Roofing & Home Renovation in Burlington, VT](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/chittenden-builders/9581) - See related: [Sterling Homes — Custom Home Building in South Burlington, VT](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/sterling-homes/9598) - Guide: [Home Renovation and Restoration Resources](https://blog.lfbuilders.ca) - Main site: [LF Builders — 50+ Years of Toronto Renovation](https://lfbuilders.ca) - Charity: [Samm Simon’s 251km Run for Cancer Research](https://sammsimon.ca) * * *
