In **Bakersfield, California** , a homeowner shared that their contractor disappeared halfway through a kitchen remodel. No updates. No clear timeline. Just silence.

Other homeowners quickly pointed out the early signs they missed. No written schedule. Vague payment milestones. Everything handled through texts instead of a contract.

Most contractor problems do not start with bad work. They start with bad communication. When expectations are not written down, problems become expensive fast.
