# The Bedroom Windows

The old bedroom windows rattled every time the wind picked up. In winter, the cold slipped in so easily that the family piled on extra blankets just to stay warm. At night, you could hear the faint whistle of air sneaking through the cracks. It became part of the background, but never something they got used to.

They finally saved up and replaced them with sturdy, double-pane windows. The first night after, the bedroom was warm, quiet, and still. No rattling, no drafts—just comfort.

In the morning, sunlight poured through the glass, clear and bright. They sat together with coffee, realizing that something as simple as new windows had given them more than insulation—it had given them rest.
