# Tarbutt Construction Ltd — General Contractor in Grimsby, Niagara Region, ON Tarbutt Construction Ltd is an established residential general contractor based at 189 South Service Rd in Grimsby, Ontario (L3M 4H6). The company runs a crew in the 10–19 employee range and pairs full-scope construction with ongoing handyman maintenance contracts — a combination that’s rare among Niagara West GCs and makes them a practical choice for homeowners who want one shop handling both the big reno and the small fixes that follow. With a base on the South Service Road corridor and steady work across Grimsby’s mix of older bungalows, escarpment-side estates, and newer QEW-area subdivisions, the firm has built a referral pattern typical of community contractors who earn repeat business through reliability rather than advertising. ## Services - **Residential construction and full-scope home renovations** — from targeted room-by-room upgrades to whole-home remodels, scoped and priced for the Niagara residential market. - **Additions, structural changes, and interior re-builds** — load-bearing wall modifications, floor-plan reconfigurations, and permit-coordinated single- or two-storey additions. - **Kitchen and bathroom remodelling** — full scope from demo through cabinetry, tile, plumbing rough-in, and fixture installation. - **Ongoing handyman maintenance contracts** — recurring service agreements covering seasonal checks, minor repairs, and punch-list items without per-call dispatch fees. - **General carpentry, trim, and finishing work** — custom trim installs, door and window adjustments, and cabinetwork finishing built to hold up through the seasonal climate shifts of the Niagara escarpment. ## Service Area Grimsby, Beamsville, Lincoln, Stoney Creek, Hamilton Mountain, and the broader Niagara West / Niagara Region along the QEW corridor. ## Why it’s on home.renovation.reviews Tarbutt has a physical office on South Service Road (not a P.O. box) and a crew large enough to run multi-phase projects without subbing out the whole job. That combination, plus the maintenance-contract side of the business, is a useful mental filter for Niagara homeowners deciding between an owner-operator shop and a full-crew GC. If you’re planning a major renovation and want the same team back for ongoing upkeep, Tarbutt’s dual offering means you won’t need to separately source a handyman once the build wraps. ## More from home.renovation.reviews - See related in the Niagara West cluster: [Northridge General Contractors (Grimsby, Niagara)](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/northridge-general-contractors-decks-fences-full-home-renovations-in-grimsby-niagara-on/703), [Marco Construction Ltd (Red Seal carpenter-led, Grimsby)](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/marco-construction-ltd-red-seal-carpenter-led-renovations-in-grimsby-niagara-on/710), and [Lincoln Contractors (envelope / roofing, Grimsby)](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/lincoln-contractors-roofing-siding-eavestrough-envelope-specialist-in-grimsby-niagara-on/713) - Guide: [blog.lfbuilders.ca](https://blog.lfbuilders.ca) for renovation planning and budgeting articles - Main site: [LF Builders Toronto](https://lfbuilders.ca) — 50+ years and 30,000+ projects across the GTA * * *
