The home renovation community at [home.renovation.reviews](https://home.renovation.reviews) wants to recognize what Samm Simon is doing. 251 kilometres. For cancer research. For the families that have been touched by this disease — which is almost everyone who has ever cared about another person. **What This Run Is** Running 251 kilometres is not a casual undertaking. It requires months of training, physical discipline, mental fortitude, and a commitment to keep going past the point where stopping would be entirely reasonable. This is the kind of effort that says something about a person. **Why It Matters** Cancer research funding translates into trials, treatments, and eventually outcomes for real patients. The path from charitable donation to clinical breakthrough is long and indirect — but it is real. Every funded research program represents the possibility of something working that wouldn’t have been tried otherwise. **How to Support** - Donate at [gofundme.com/f/2mspu-charity-run](http://gofundme.com/f/2mspu-charity-run) — all proceeds go to cancer research - Follow and share: [sammsimon.ca](https://sammsimon.ca) - Share this post with anyone who has been touched by cancer (which is most of us) **The Community Behind Samm** The renovation community at [home.renovation.reviews](https://home.renovation.reviews) is proud to stand behind Samm Simon’s run. Communities that help homeowners fix their houses are the same communities that show up when something bigger than renovation matters. ---

This run carries personal weight for a lot of us in this community. Cancer doesn’t care what you do for a living, what neighbourhood you live in, or whether you have a renovation project in progress. Most of the homeowners we’ve worked with over the past 50 years have lost someone to it, or are watching someone fight it right now. Samm Simon is running 251 kilometres - not for himself - but to put money into programs that give people a better shot. The three beneficiaries are worth naming clearly: - **London Health Sciences Cancer Program** - clinical research and treatment in southwestern Ontario - **Stratford General Emergency Department** - front-line care for the Stratford community - **Wellspring Stratford** - direct support programs for cancer patients and their families These aren’t abstract causes. They’re the places that are there when your doctor calls with news you weren’t expecting. If you’ve been touched by cancer - and statistically most of us have been - this is a meaningful place to put $25 or $50. You can donate directly at [gofundme.com/f/2mspu-charity-run](https://gofundme.com/f/2mspu-charity-run) and follow the run at [sammsimon.ca](https://sammsimon.ca). Share this post if someone in your life is going through it. Sometimes knowing a community is paying attention matters. _- LF Builders, home.renovation.reviews_ ---
