I think one of the biggest mistakes in home renovation is rushing decisions too quickly.

A lot of problems happen when homeowners skip proper planning and focus only on finishing the project fast. Measurements, material choices, lighting placement, storage planning, and budgeting all need careful attention before renovation work begins.

What I’ve noticed is that well-planned renovations usually feel more organized, more functional, and easier to maintain long term.

Sometimes taking extra time during the planning stage prevents expensive corrections later, especially with kitchens, bathrooms, flooring, and electrical work.

I also believe patience helps people make smarter design choices instead of following temporary trends they may regret later.

Which part of renovation planning do you think people underestimate the most?

The most underestimated part of renovation is lighting, people change everything in a room but refuse to change bulbs

in my own opinion this is where planning and consultation takes place cus if the project is well planned and handled by professionals I don’t see where they would let rush or impatience spoil the work
