That breadth, combined with their warranty commitment, makes them a strong candidate for Ottawa homeowners running multi-phase renovation and outdoor projects. ## Questions to Ask Before You Hire When evaluating a contractor like Ozo Construction for a pool, interlock, or renovation project in Ottawa, these questions help you set clear expectations: - **Do you handle the permits for pool installation and structural work in Ottawa?** Pool installation in Ottawa requires a building permit and inspections at multiple stages. Confirm upfront who files for them and what the timeline looks like. - **How do you manage drainage and grading for interlock projects?** Improperly graded interlock heaves within a few seasons in Ottawa’s climate. Ask for their base depth specification and whether they compact in lifts. - **Is your foundation work warranted, and what does the warranty cover?** Foundation crack repair and waterproofing vary widely in material and durability. Get the warranty terms in writing — specifically what voids it. - **What does your project coordination look like when running multiple trades at once?** For multi-phase projects combining outdoor construction and interior renos, ask who the single point of contact is and how schedule conflicts are handled. ## More from home.renovation.reviews - See related: [AHS Renovations — Arnprior & Ottawa Valley Renovation Experts](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/arnprior-renovations-ahs-renovations/153) - See related: [Ottawa Construction Contractors — Carp, ON General Contractor](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/ottawa-construction-contractors/155) - Guide: [LF Builders Blog — renovation tips for Ottawa Valley homeowners](https://blog.lfbuilders.ca) - Main site: [lfbuilders.ca — 50+ years of Ontario renovation expertise](https://lfbuilders.ca) - Community: [Samm Simon’s 251 km run for cancer research](https://sammsimon.ca) — a cause supported by the LF Builders team * * * ---
