# Opal Building Co — Design & Build Renovation Company in London, Ontario

Opal Building Co. is a design-and-build renovation firm in London, Ontario, carrying a perfect 5-star rating backed by 14 client reviews. Their integrated model — handling both design and construction under one contract — removes the friction that often develops when a separate designer and general contractor share a project, resulting in tighter coordination and fewer surprises for the homeowner. The design-build approach means concept decisions and material selections are made with full awareness of the construction budget, not after it.

## Services

- **Kitchen remodels** — custom cabinetry, countertops, and island configurations, from partial upgrades to full gut-and-rebuild. Design and build handled as a single coordinated package.
- **Bathroom renovations** — walk-in showers, freestanding tubs, heated floors, and complete tiling packages. Opal designs the space before specifying materials, preventing costly mid-project changes.
- **Whole-home transformations** — multi-room projects where design consistency across all spaces matters. A single designer and build team maintains visual cohesion from kitchen through to hallway finishes.
- **Design consultations** — space planning, material specification, and concept development before construction begins, for homeowners wanting to validate the plan before committing to a build contract.

## Service Area

London, Ontario, and surrounding communities including Strathroy, St. Thomas, and Tillsonburg. Opal Building Co. works with homeowners who want a single point of accountability from concept through completion.

## What Makes Design-Build Different in London

With a traditional project, your architect or designer hands over drawings to a contractor who may then value-engineer your choices to hit a number. Design-build eliminates that hand-off — Opal’s team controls both sides, so the design you approved is the renovation you receive.

## Why It’s on home.renovation.reviews

A five-star average from clients describing a design-build firm takes longer to earn than a standard contractor listing — it means both the design hand-off and the build execution had to land. Opal’s inclusion gives the directory a strong London option for homeowners who want renovation and design managed together under one roof.
