# New Star General Contractors — Multi-Family, Luxury Homes & Commercial Construction in Utah (Est. 1986) New Star General Contractors has been operating since 1986, which puts them in a small group of Utah construction firms that can point to nearly four decades of continuous work. Based in Park City, the company covers three distinct project types: multi-family residential properties, luxury custom homes, and commercial buildings. Their client list includes Deer Valley Ski Resort, the Stein Eriksen Lodge, and the University of Utah — projects that don’t go to contractors without a serious track record behind them. ## Services On the residential side, New Star handles luxury home construction and full-scale renovations in the Park City and Wasatch Mountains area, where client expectations and site complexity regularly exceed what you’d encounter in a typical suburban renovation market. Multi-family experience covers both new construction and renovation of apartment and condo buildings. Commercial work ranges from office fit-outs to full building projects. To handle that scope, New Star maintains a Field Operations Division of approximately 100 journeymen carpenters. That’s a meaningful in-house workforce for a regional contractor and one reason they can take on simultaneous projects of different types without spreading their management team thin. ## Service area New Star is based in Park City and serves the Wasatch Mountains region and broader Utah, with commercial and multi-family projects extending statewide when the scope calls for it. Salt Lake Valley residential work sits alongside the higher-end resort-area projects in their portfolio. ## Why it is on home.renovation.reviews Contractors with close to 40 years in business who have worked on Utah’s most prominent hospitality and institutional projects are not common entries in a renovation directory. New Star earns inclusion because their breadth and longevity make them a useful reference for anyone researching larger-scale construction in Utah, where the line between renovation and new construction often blurs significantly. ## More from home.renovation.reviews - Related: [Uplevel Remodeling — Kitchen, Bathroom & Home Renovation in West Valley City, UT](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/uplevel-remodeling/9532) - Guide: [Renovation planning resources and contractor guides — LF Builders blog](https://blog.lfbuilders.ca) - Main site: [LF Builders — over 50 years of Toronto-area renovation work, 30,000+ projects](https://lfbuilders.ca) - Charity: [Samm Simon’s 251 km run for cancer research — learn more](https://sammsimon.ca) * * *
