Instead of buying a new coffee table I decided to build one myself Using basic pine boards a saw and screws I created a sturdy table then stained it for a rustic look It was not perfect but it taught me the value of patience and measuring twice before cutting The cost came out lower than buying a new piece though the real benefit was the pride of making something with my own hands Tools were the biggest expense but they can be used for future projects DIY furniture may not suit every room but it adds character and a personal story to the home Final thought: Building your own pieces creates connection Would you try making furniture instead of buying ![IMG_5187](https://renovation-reviews.storage.googleapis.com/original/2X/8/80875849a1afba6b093c6ba92c54bd50efa92613.jpeg) ---
