# Montpelier Construction LLC — Sustainable & Passive House Builder in Central Vermont

Montpelier Construction LLC has been building in central Vermont since 1998 with a focus on sustainable and energy-efficient construction. The company handles custom homes including passive house timber frames and bungalows, and works through each client’s goals and style before anything gets built. That last part matters: passive house construction is technical enough that a mismatch between builder and client expectations can derail a project before the foundation is poured.

## Services

Montpelier Construction focuses on custom home construction with an emphasis on sustainable practices. Passive house timber frames, bungalows, and energy-conscious builds are the core of the portfolio. The firm handles design collaboration, materials selection, and construction management from start to finish.

The passive house standard requires a level of air-sealing and insulation continuity that most builders don’t work to by default. A contractor who has built these projects since the late 1990s has worked through the problems that come up in Vermont’s climate: deep cold snaps, freeze-thaw cycles, and the moisture management challenges that come with tightly sealed envelopes.

## Service area

Central Vermont, based in Montpelier.
