# McJ Contracting — Renovations, Electrical & Solar Contractor in Essex County, ON

MCJ Contracting is a multi-trade renovation and electrical contractor operating out of Essex, ON, with roughly thirty-two years in the field and a service footprint stretching across Windsor, LaSalle, Kingsville, Leamington, Amherstburg, and Chatham-Kent. The shop combines a licensed electrical practice with general-renovation capacity — a cross-discipline pairing that is uncommon at the small-business end of the directory and particularly valuable on energy-retrofit projects where the wiring work and the envelope work run in parallel.

This is the **first dedicated solar-installer anchor on the Windsor-Essex bench** and the **first combined-electrical-plus-GC anchor outside the Sudbury / Espanola cluster** — paired with [629 Anything Electric](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/anything-electric-electrical-contractor-in-deseronto-on/629) (Deseronto) and [1034 Dan’s Electric](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/dans-electric/1034) (Espanola) for the directory’s cross-trade electrical family.

## Service area

## Why it’s on home.renovation.reviews

Homeowners pursuing an energy retrofit during a renovation — adding solar, upgrading the electrical service, and rebuilding the envelope all in the same project — usually have to coordinate two or three separate trades. MCJ Contracting’s in-house electrical-plus-renovation mix means the solar install, panel upgrade, and drywall tear-out can run through the same crew. That one-shop profile is the reason this firm earns a place on the Windsor-Essex bench as the region’s cross-trade anchor.
