The lighting plays a major role in the renovation and it defines the mood, functionality and beauty of the interior space. Reflective use of lighting design will augment the art of architecture, accentuate textures and will make it more comfortable and easier to use.

The contemporary renovations are using the layered lighting strategies, which are comprised of the ambient lighting, task lighting and accent lighting. General lighting is ambient lighting, and specific functional areas like kitchens, working offices, or reading areas are illuminated by task lighting. Accent lighting emphasizes artwork, wall texture, architecture or point of focus and gives a wall a three dimensional appearance. LED technology provides efficiency in energy and flexibility, dimmable systems, and smart controls.

Lighting, in terms of design merges with materials, colors and the placement of furniture to promote harmony in the interior. Glass, polished stone or metallic decorations reflect light and warm colors make one feel comfortable. Visual enlargement of spaces, zoning, and highlighting of design features can be achieved by strategic placement of fixtures, recessed lighting, and more wall-mounted solutions. Outside lighting such as sconces on the walls, landscape lighting, and lightings along the road enhance the interior design and enhance security and atmosphere.

Proper lighting aids in daily activity, helps to see better, and soothes the mood. It helps in relieving strain on the eyes, bringing out key features and also creates energy efficiency. Intelligent lighting systems are able to be automated, sceneried and remotely controlled, which brings convenience to the refurbished areas.

Conclusion:
Light design is a revolutionary element of renovation, which combines both aesthetics and functionality with energy efficiency. As ambient, task and accent lighting are layered, the renovators can produce interiors that are aesthetically pleasing, comfortable, and extremely functional. Considerate lighting uplifts residential and commercial locations, improving mood, security, and aesthetic manifestation and providing durability of adaptability and effectiveness.
