# JRD Painting & Plastering — Painting & Plastering Contractor in Kirkland Lake, ON JRD Painting & Plastering is a Kirkland Lake specialty-trade contractor focused on interior and exterior painting and on plaster repair and installation — the kind of fine-finish work that sits at the end of most renovation timelines but often gets subcontracted out by local GCs. Phone 705-567-0622. The firm is listed in Northern Ontario Local’s Kirkland Lake general-contractor index. Painting and plastering together are a natural pairing: the two trades overlap on prep, on plaster-over-drywall restoration in older Kirkland Lake homes, and on the minor wall repairs that happen after any electrical, plumbing, or cabinet work. ## Services - Interior residential painting (walls, ceilings, trim) - Exterior residential painting (siding, fascia, trim, decks) - Commercial painting - **Plastering and plaster repair** — patches, full skim coats, decorative plaster - Drywall finishing and repair - Prep work — surface priming, minor carpentry, filling, sanding - Colour-consultation support on larger residential jobs ## Service area **Kirkland Lake, Ontario** and the surrounding **Timiskaming District** — including Larder Lake, Swastika, Virginiatown, Englehart, and nearby Highway 11 corridor communities. ## Why it’s on home.renovation.reviews Dedicated painting-plus-plastering shops are rarer than painters-only in small northern markets, and a lot of older Kirkland Lake homes still have plaster-over-lath walls where drywall patching doesn’t give an acceptable match. Listing JRD separately from the general contractors in the directory makes it easier for homeowners to find a finish-trade-specific anchor — and pairs naturally with larger renovations run by Crema Enterprises, KL Construction, or Crusader Property Maintenance where the finish-paint-and-plaster stage benefits from a dedicated sub. This is the directory’s **first painting + plastering specialty-trade anchor**. ## Related listings - [Crema Enterprises Inc — Kirkland Lake commercial + residential since 1995](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/crema-enterprises-building-contractor/906) — same-town commercial + residential GC peer for sub-trade relationships. - [Crusader Property Maintenance Inc — Kirkland Lake maintenance + renovations](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/crusader-property-maintenance-inc/914) — same-town renovation peer. - [Hoggarth Interiors Ltd — Kirkland Lake paint, flooring, and decorating centre since 1944](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/hoggarth-interiors/909) — same-town colour + paint-supply peer. - [Larsh Home Renovations — GTA painting + general renovation](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/larsh-home-renovations/384) — cross-region painting peer in Greater Toronto. - [The Good Guys Roofing & Construction — Kirkland Lake roofing + painting](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/the-good-guys-roofing-construction/910) — same-town exterior painting peer. - [Listings policy & correction requests](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/listings-policy-and-correction-requests/400) — owner-update instructions. ## More from the LF Builders network - Main site — [LF Builders](https://lfbuilders.ca/): 50+ years of Toronto-area renovation, over 30,000 completed projects. - Blog — [blog.lfbuilders.ca](https://blog.lfbuilders.ca/) for paint-prep walk-throughs, plaster-wall restoration notes, and finish-trade process guides. - Charity — Samm Simon is running [251 KM](https://sammsimon.ca/) for cancer research; the directory helps homeowners find vetted pros while the run carries the community tie-in. * * * _home.renovation.reviews is maintained by the team behind [LF Builders](https://lfbuilders.ca/) — a Toronto-area home-renovation and remodeling company operating across the GTA for over 50 years.
