That volume and score combination puts them well above the typical renovation company that earns strong feedback from a small pool of early clients. The company handles full-scope residential work, from kitchen and bathroom renovations through basement suite development and structural additions, across Calgary and the surrounding communities. Website: [joshuacontractor.ca](https://www.joshuacontractor.ca/). Calgary’s renovation market is competitive and review-driven. Homeowners use platforms like Google and Houzz to compare contractors before making first contact, which means a contractor’s review history has a direct effect on the volume of inquiries they receive. 193 reviews at a 5-star average is a meaningful public record, not a curated selection of exceptional early jobs. It also reflects a business that has completed enough varied projects to have encountered difficult scopes and still maintained that score throughout. ## Services - Full-scope general contracting: end-to-end project management for residential renovation and new construction, including permit acquisition, trade coordination, and final inspection across Calgary and the greater metro area. - Kitchen and bathroom renovation: custom kitchen remodels and full bathroom transformations covering layout reconfiguration, storage optimization, finish selection, and fixture installation. - Home additions and basement suites: garage conversions, basement suite development, and structural additions carried out to Alberta Building Code standards, including secondary suite compliance for rental or in-law configurations. - Project management for multi-trade scopes: coordination of multiple subtrades across extended timelines, with regular client communication at each phase rather than updates only when problems arise. ## Service area Calgary, Airdrie, Chestermere, Okotoks, High River, Cochrane, and communities across the Greater Calgary metropolitan area. ## Why it’s on home.renovation.reviews 193 reviews at 5 stars is a rare result in residential contracting anywhere in Canada. Joshua General Contracting earns a place in this directory because that volume of verified feedback gives Calgary homeowners a meaningful, independently sourced data point when comparing renovation contractors. ## More from home.renovation.reviews - Southern Alberta cabinetry: [Cabinet Expressions Ltd — Coalhurst, AB](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/cabinet-expressions-ltd/2956) - High River kitchen specialist: [Kitchen Innovations Ltd — High River, AB](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/kitchen-innovations-ltd/2963) - Renovation planning: [LF Builders Blog](https://blog.lfbuilders.ca) - Toronto-area renovation reference: [LF Builders](https://lfbuilders.ca) - Charity: [Samm Simon’s 251 KM Run for Cancer Research](https://sammsimon.ca) * * *
