# JFK Home Improvements — Roofing, Doors & Full-Service Renovations in Aylmer, Elgin County, ON since 1987

JFK Home Improvements is a family-run, full-service home improvement contractor at 42 Chipchase Court in Aylmer, Ontario, founded by John Klassen in 1987 and operating continuously for **38+ years**. The firm is BBB-accredited (since 12 July 2007) and sits in the rare “manufacturer + installer” category for its category — JFK builds its own steel doors in-shop and installs its own work end-to-end, using 100% Canadian-sourced materials wherever possible.

## Services

- Asphalt-shingle and metal roofing — repair and full replacement
- Steel door manufacturing and exterior door installation (sliding, swing, patio)
- Siding, soffit, fascia, and exterior envelope work
- Kitchen and bathroom remodelling, countertop installation, stone surfacing
- Decks, patios, and carport construction; general contracting

## Service Area

Aylmer (Elgin County) and the wider Lake Erie north-shore corridor — St. Thomas, Tillsonburg, Port Burwell, Bayham, Malahide, and outlying southwestern Ontario from a single Aylmer dispatch base.

## Why it’s on home.renovation.reviews

JFK is the directory’s deepest Aylmer-anchored full-service contractor by tenure — nearly four decades in continuous operation places it in the same long-running-firm tier as Hiemstra’s Woodworking (Aylmer, since 1967) and the Goderich/Huron heritage names. The combination of in-house steel-door manufacturing plus a residential renovation roster is uncommon for the Lake Erie north-shore region and is the editorial reason this listing earns a place in the directory rather than a generic “general contractor” stub.
