# How to Build a Simple Floating Shelf

Floating shelves are both stylish and functional and you can build one in a day!

\*Materials Needed:\*

- Wooden board (your preferred size)

- Wall brackets or floating shelf hardware

- Screws and wall anchors

- Drill

- Level

- Sandpaper and paint or stain

\*Steps:\*

1. Sand the wood smooth, then paint or stain and let it dry.

2. Use a level to mark where you want the shelf.

3. Drill holes and insert wall anchors.

4. Attach the brackets securely to the wall.

5. Mount the shelf onto the brackets and secure it.

Now you have a sleek, modern shelf perfect for displaying decor
