👉 **Spend on what lasts** (structure, roof, windows).  
👉 **Save on what swaps easily** (fixtures, finishes, paint).  
👉 **Get 3+ quotes** to keep bids honest.  
👉 **Phase work** if budget is tight, better to do less, but do it right.

That balance keeps quality where it matters without breaking the bank.
