# Highland Creek Builders — Custom Cottages, Log Homes & Renovations in Wilberforce, Haliburton County, ON

Highland Creek Builders is a residential and cottage general contractor based at 1075 Linkert Road in Wilberforce, Ontario (K0L 3C0), in the Municipality of Highlands East (Haliburton County). The firm is owner-operated by Wayne Quibell, holds **WSIB coverage** , and is a member of **IHSA Ontario** (the Infrastructure Health & Safety Association) — meaningful credentials for a remote-region cottage builder where insurance, jobsite safety, and clear permit handling materially affect what gets built and how long it stands. The original imported tag on this thread was `bancroft`; the firm is in fact in Wilberforce, and that geography has been corrected in this revision.

## Services

- Custom homes — log-built or traditionally framed
- Custom cottages and garage outbuildings
- Full or partial renovation, decks, and stone or masonry fireplaces
- Mini-excavator services — landscaping, lot prep, driveway grading
- Handcrafted cabinetry, furniture, and chainsaw carving (signature in-house craft)
- Permit acquisition handled on the customer’s behalf

## Service Area

Wilberforce, Haliburton, Bancroft, Gooderham, Tory Hill, Cardiff, Highland Grove, Harcourt, and the surrounding Haliburton County / Highlands East / North Hastings corridor — including off-grid and shoreline cottage properties on the Haliburton chain of lakes.

## Why it’s on home.renovation.reviews

Highland Creek is the **directory’s first Highlands East / Haliburton County anchor** and one of the few directory listings that carries an explicit IHSA Ontario membership. The combination of structural building (log + traditionally framed) plus signature handcrafted woodwork (cabinetry, furniture, chainsaw carving) is genuinely unusual for the region and worth surfacing in editorial copy rather than burying in a generic “general contractor” tag. Pairs with Titan Renos North (Apsley, North Kawartha) and Leveque Bros (Bancroft heavy-civil + concrete) to seed a coherent Haliburton–Highlands East–North Hastings cottage-country sub-cluster on the directory.
