# GM Contractors Ltd — Basement & Home Renovation Contractor in Milton, Halton Region, ON GM Contractors Ltd is a residential renovation firm headquartered in Milton, Ontario, with the original post tagged halton-hills but the business actually anchored in Milton proper. Twelve years in the field, with a specialty focus on finishing raw basements into functional living space — legal secondary entrances included — plus all-scope handyman-to-general-contractor work across the west GTA. The separate-entrance positioning is particularly relevant in Milton and Brampton, where secondary-suite demand from multigenerational families and rental-income investors has been running ahead of the supply of GCs willing to manage the permit and egress work end-to-end. ## Services - **Basement finishing and unfinished-to-legal conversions** — framing, drywall, electrical, plumbing, HVAC supply, and finishes to transform raw concrete into livable, code-compliant space. - **Separate-entrance builds for secondary suites and in-law apartments** — exterior door installs, egress prep, and permit-path coordination for legal rental units. - **Kitchen renovations and cabinetry installs** — demo to delivery with semi-custom and custom cabinet sourcing and countertop coordination. - **Washroom and wet-area remodelling** — full tile, plumbing, glass, and fixture work. - **Flooring installs across hardwood, engineered, laminate, and tile** — with proper subfloor prep and levelling for a flat, long-lasting result. - **Handyman-scale jobs at labour-only or item-wise pricing** — for homeowners who need a punch list cleared without committing to a full GC contract. ## Service Area Milton, Oakville, Burlington, Mississauga, Brampton, and Georgetown across the west GTA and Halton Region. ## Why it’s on home.renovation.reviews The explicit separate-entrance / secondary-suite positioning is what earns GM Contractors a distinct editorial slot — it’s a niche that matters for Milton and Brampton homeowners considering rental income from a basement unit, and most generalist GCs either punt on the permit-path work or price it with a premium that erases the ROI. ## More from home.renovation.reviews - See related in the Halton / Milton cluster: [HMH Construction (Milton custom homes + renos)](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/hmh-construction-custom-homes-kitchen-bath-renovations-in-milton-halton-region-on/719), [Grand Project Contracting (Milton 20+ yr family GC)](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/grand-project-contracting-family-run-full-service-general-contractor-in-milton-on/723), and [Roomsreno Home Renovations (Georgetown family GC)](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/roomsreno-home-renovations-inc-family-run-kitchen-bath-basement-reno-in-georgetown-on/722) - Guide: [blog.lfbuilders.ca](https://blog.lfbuilders.ca) for basement-finishing, egress, and secondary-suite articles - Main site: [LF Builders](https://lfbuilders.ca) for waterproofing, foundations, and basement work across the GTA * * *
