When compared to the conventional floors or corridors, the glass lets light pass through creating a light and airy atmosphere as well as forming a visual line of sight between spaces. The sense of continuity is also one of the primary appeals. Glass walkways can be used to connect an indoor living space with a garden or a pool or a terrace without disrupting the views. It is a design option which is contemporary, classy, and to some extent a risk-taker particularly when accompanied by some gentle lighting below to give it a floating look at night. It is important that it is safe and durable. Laminated or toughened glass will be made to support weight and traffic hence the walkway will be strong and safe. The open feel can also be achieved with textured or frosted finishes that add additional grip preventing any chances of slipping. The other advantage is designer flexibility. Frameless panels are used to produce a minimalistic appearance, whereas framed ones may be combined with the architectural design of the house. The glass walkways can be combined with landscaping or interior design features in order to achieve a smooth indoor-outdoor experience. Finally, glass walkway is not just a walkway, but a statement of design. It transforms an ordinary connexion into a beautiful visual effect that adds to the light, openness, and the general feeling of passing through a residence. ---
