They immediately provide drama and openness, establishing visual links among levels as well as saturating interiors with light. They are not a mere trend, but they put the style and functionality together in some unexpected ways. The most interesting is the outlook they provide. Any living room, garden, wine cellar or a pool may become something extraordinary as a glass floor will look through it. It brings about transparency and spaciousness which makes the interior look bigger and more dynamic. Nobody forgets about safety and strength. Laminated or hardened glass is used to support weight and everyday pedestrian traffic and textured or frosted surfaces can be used to increase slip resistance. These floors are as safe as conventional material and are made as such by modern engineering. The possibilities in design are extensive. Frameless installations provide contemporary, smooth touch whereas framed glass floors can be contrasted with wood, steel or concrete. The use of lighting under the panels can only enhance further especially at night. Finally, glass ceiling is not just a design gimmick, but an option of life. They bring in light, openness, and creativity to the contemporary living spaces, and reshape the process of traversing and experiencing your home. ---
