# Genesis Builders — New Home Builder in Vermilion Hill, SW Calgary, AB Genesis Builders has been crafting quality new single-family homes in Calgary and surrounding communities since the early 1990s. Their Vermilion Hill development in SW Calgary — with show homes at 207 Versant Grove SW and 818 Bluerock Way SW — brings thoughtfully designed floor plans to one of the city’s newest family communities, positioned minutes from Fish Creek Park and the gateway to Kananaskis Country. Vermilion Hill strikes a practical balance: easy access to Stoney Trail and downtown Calgary, while still offering the breathing room and outdoor connections that young families and move-up buyers prioritize. For Calgary buyers considering whether to renovate an existing home or build new, Genesis Builders’ Vermilion Hill homes represent a compelling new-construction alternative. ## Home Models at Vermilion Hill - **Mateo** — A spacious family plan balancing open-concept living with well-defined bedroom separation, suited to growing families looking for practical square footage in SW Calgary. - **Ezra ZLL** — A modern layout with flexible design options, open living spaces, and contemporary exterior finishes. - **Jordan** — A well-rounded floor plan with classic curb appeal and a thoughtfully planned interior that works for families at a range of life stages. - **Eleanor** — An accessible entry-level model with full-featured finishes, suitable for first-time buyers or right-sizers entering the SW Calgary market. ## Service Area SW Calgary (Vermilion Hill community), with additional communities in Airdrie, Cochrane, and Chestermere. ## Why it’s on home.renovation.reviews New builds and major renovations are closely related decisions for Calgary homeowners. Genesis Builders’ Vermilion Hill homes represent one path — building from scratch in a master-planned SW Calgary community — while renovation contractors on this forum represent the other. For homeowners weighing both options, understanding what a new-construction home delivers (warranty, modern envelope, layout flexibility) versus what a renovation can achieve in an existing neighbourhood provides a more complete picture before committing to either route. ## More from home.renovation.reviews - See related: [Trilang Builders Ltd — Custom Homes & Renovations in Whitecourt, AB](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/trilang-builders-ltd/3543) - See related: [Blair Nelson Enterprises Ltd — Civil & Pipeline Construction, AB](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/blair-nelson-enterprises-ltd-pipeline-construction/3545) - Renovation guides: [LF Builders Blog — Building & Renovation Insights for Canadian Homeowners](https://blog.lfbuilders.ca) - Main site: [LF Builders — Toronto’s Trusted Home Renovation Specialists](https://lfbuilders.ca) - Charity: [Samm Simon’s 251KM Run for Cancer Research — Support the Cause](https://sammsimon.ca) * * * ---
