Renovation is the best chance to improve safety. Choose anti-slip floor tiles, especially inside the shower area. Make sure there are no sharp edges on vanities or shelves where someone could get hurt. Consider grab-bar support inside the walls even if you don’t install the bars now. In the future, they can be added easily without breaking tiles. A slightly wider shower entrance, lower step height, and good lighting also make a big difference. Safety features don’t make a bathroom look “hospital-like” — they make it comfortable for everyone who uses it. ---
