# Desire Basements — Basement Renovation Specialist in East Gwillimbury, ON

Desire Basements is a basement-specialty renovation firm based in East Gwillimbury, Ontario — the northernmost municipality of York Region, bordering Bradford West Gwillimbury and the southern edge of Lake Simcoe. The firm carries a five-star rating across its public review footprint and runs a two-stage workflow: a design consultation phase followed by on-site construction, which is the standard approach for finish-heavy basement projects where layout and mechanical reconfiguration have to be settled before framing opens up.

## Services

- **Design consultation** — layout planning, finish selection, mechanical-scope scoping
- **Basement construction** — full build-out from unfinished or partially finished state
- **Basement renovation** — reworking existing finished basements for new use (suites, gyms, entertainment)
- **Basement apartment / secondary-suite builds** — a long-standing demand driver in York Region
- **Waterproofing and moisture scope** — as part of the design-consult phase where required

## Service Area

Headquartered in East Gwillimbury, serving the northern York Region corridor including Newmarket, Aurora, Bradford West Gwillimbury, Holland Landing, Queensville, Sharon, and Mount Albert; reaches south into Richmond Hill and north toward Keswick and Georgina as project scope warrants.

## Why it’s on home.renovation.reviews

This is the directory’s **first East Gwillimbury anchor** — a new sub-cluster at the northern edge of the York Region bench, extending the directory’s York coverage past the Newmarket/Aurora line for the first time. East Gwillimbury’s housing stock is a mix of older village cores (Sharon, Holland Landing, Mount Albert) and new-subdivision growth driven by the GO Transit rail extension; both segments push steady basement-reno demand. Desire Basements is also the directory’s first _basement-specialty_ anchor in York Region — the existing basement-led listings on the directory ([674 Blueline in Grand Valley, Dufferin County](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/blueline-home-services-inc-basements-kitchens-bathrooms-in-grand-valley-dufferin-county-on/674) being the main one) are in other regions.
