At first the expectations need to be well reviewed that is as a contractor you need to let your customer understand what will be happening making sure that they understand the whole process of the renovation there shouldn’t be hidden details and also there should be an almost exact estimate of the amount needed for the work to be completed from start to finish and the customer should also be informed about one or two miscellanous expenses this build your trust worthiness with your customers also it’s also a good thing to keep them updated with all the progress that’s ongoing in the renovation work and good responsiveness is an addition to building communication and transparency with your clients
