# Cesaroni & Son Ltd — Construction management & general contracting in Markham, Ontario (since 1955)

Cesaroni & Son Ltd is a Markham-headquartered construction management and general contracting firm, founded in 1955 by Sam Cesaroni after his 1953 arrival in Canada from Raiano, Italy. Seven decades later, Cesaroni remains family-run under the Cesaroni Group umbrella, delivering construction management, general contracting, and interior-finishing work across Ontario on projects ranging from $5,000 service calls to $3.5-million builds. The firm is fully bonded, insured, and a long-standing W.S.I.B. account.

The Cesaroni name appears on several of Toronto’s landmark builds — the firm has been a partner on the CN Tower, Rogers Centre, CBC Toronto Broadcast Centre, and a long list of commercial, cultural, and institutional buildings around the province. The residential side of the business continues the family pattern: named-lead project managers, in-house labour, and a client-first approach to renovation and custom-build work.

## Services

- Construction management
- General contracting (commercial, residential, institutional)
- Interior finishing and fit-outs
- Renovations and additions
- Property management and land development (via the broader Cesaroni Group)

## Service Area

Markham, Richmond Hill, Vaughan, Toronto, the wider York Region and GTA, and statewide on commercial/institutional engagements across Ontario.

## Why it’s on home.renovation.reviews

At 71 years, Cesaroni & Son is one of the oldest continuously-operating firms on the directory — tied with Pedersen Construction (directory 993, founded 1955, New Liskeard) as joint-second-oldest anchor, behind Pat Noble Lumber & Building Supplies (666, 1949). The CN Tower / Rogers Centre / CBC credential line is also a first on the directory: Cesaroni is the first entry with documented landmark-building work. The firm’s presence adds a CM-first, commercial-capable Markham anchor that complements the York Region residential-reno anchors (GMC Construction, Orange Contracting, MCG Contracting). (Note: the firm’s street address is 525 Cochrane Drive in Markham — the “cochrane” tag inherited from the street name has been replaced with the correct York Region tags on this listing.)
