# Big O Construction Co Ltd — Restoration & General Contracting in Kapuskasing, ON (since 1973)

Big “O” Construction Ltd has been a fixture on Kapuskasing’s construction scene since 1973 — more than five decades of custom home, renovation, commercial and disaster-restoration work out of 71 Queen St, P5N 1H3. The firm is a member of the **DKI (Disaster Kleenup International) Canada** network, which makes Big O part of a continent-wide insurance-restoration supply chain while keeping the day-to-day crew locally owned and staffed. Owner and president Carey leads a crew known around town for steady, plain-dealing workmanship.

- **Renovations** — kitchen and bathroom updates, interior remodels, finishing, general home improvement across the Kapuskasing area.
- **General contracting** — custom home builds, additions, and commercial projects from the ground up.

## Service area

Kapuskasing and the broader Cochrane District — Moonbeam, Val Rita, Harty, Opasatika, Smooth Rock Falls, Hearst, and throughout Highway 11 communities.

## Why it’s on home.renovation.reviews

Big O sits at a rare intersection in this directory: a 50-plus-year family-scale general contractor that also carries a formal national-network restoration credential. For homeowners navigating an insurance claim after a flood, fire, or storm in Northeastern Ontario, that combination — local build capacity + DKI network insurance protocols — is unusually valuable. It’s why 861 anchors the DKI credential lane on home.renovation.reviews.
