# Before & After: Basement Renovation into a Cozy Living Space

Before:

The basement was an underused, dimly lit storage area with exposed pipes, bare concrete floors, and mismatched furniture. Low ceilings and poor lighting made the space feel cramped and uninviting.

After:

With strategic planning, it was transformed into a warm and functional living space. Insulated walls and plush carpeting added comfort, while recessed lighting and soft wall colors opened up the room. A sectional sofa, built-in shelves, and a small coffee table created a perfect spot for relaxation or family movie nights.

Key Upgrades:

Insulation & Drywall: Improved comfort and energy efficiency.

Flooring: Soft carpet for warmth and sound absorption.

Lighting: Recessed LEDs plus table lamps for a layered glow.

Storage: Built-in cabinets to keep the area clutter-free.

Decor: Neutral tones with pops of color in cushions and art.
