# Are DIY renovations more about saving money or expressing identity?

DIY is usually a mix of both you save cash by cutting labor costs, but you also put your stamp on the space, making it feel _yours_.

If the project’s small and creative, it’s more about **identity**. If it’s big and budget-driven, it’s more about **saving money**.
