# Arbour Hill Custom Furniture & Cabinetry — Custom Woodworking in Hanover, Ontario (Grey-Bruce)

Arbour Hill is a Hanover, Grey-Bruce custom woodworking shop that designs, builds, and installs hand-made cabinetry and furniture for homeowners across the region. Started in 2002 by owner Jim Hill — an honours graduate of Conestoga College’s Manufacturing Technician (Wood Products) program at the Ontario Centre for Woodworking, with more than three decades of bench experience — the shop has built a quiet reputation for one-off kitchens, built-ins, and free-standing pieces that don’t come off a warehouse pallet.

## Services

- **Custom kitchen cabinetry** — built to the room, not to a stock box list
- **Custom bathroom vanities** — matched-finish drawers, shelves, and counter-cuts
- **Built-ins, bookcases, and walk-in closets** — designed around the opening you already have
- **Custom pantries and shelving** — including deep-drawer and pull-out builds
- **Custom entertainment centres and home bars** — single commissions, not catalogue adaptations
- **Free-standing furniture pieces** — tables, sideboards, display, storage
- **Finishes** — solid woods, veneers, thermofoil, high-pressure laminates, colour-matched and custom finishes

## Service Area

Hanover and the broader Grey-Bruce region, including Mildmay, Walkerton, Owen Sound, Port Elgin, Kincardine, and Southampton. Work is commissioned one room or one piece at a time, with measurement and install done in person.

## Why it’s on home.renovation.reviews

The Grey-Bruce cluster on this directory now has a retail-brand design-build at [Our Project Centre (RONA Hanover)](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/our-project-centre-rona-hanover-s-kitchen-bathroom-home-renovation-design-centre/748), a cabinetry showroom at [Hanover Kitchen & Bath Gallery](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/hanover-kitchen-and-bath-gallery/737), and full-reno general contractors at [Rahn Bros](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/rahn-bros-construction/731) and [Inside Out Renovations](https://home.renovation.reviews/t/inside-out-renovations-custom-kitchens-bathrooms-additions-in-hanover-on/745). Arbour Hill sits next to those as the _hand-built_ path — a workshop you commission when you want a single piece or kitchen built from the raw board up, rather than specified from a line catalogue. That’s the editorial reason it belongs in the Hanover decision tree rather than being lumped in with the showrooms.
